Deferring a payment does not single you out or penalise you: it is a regulated right.
- Up to €50,000 of debt with the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) without providing any guarantee.
- It is requested online through the AEAT e-office.
- The cost is late-payment interest, not a penalty.
Deferring in time protects your cash flow and avoids bigger problems. Not paying without notice, on the other hand, triggers enforcement surcharges (5%, 10% or 20%) and can end in seizures.
That said, a deferral is a one-off tool, not a permanent source of financing.
At AP Asesores we assess whether it suits you and handle it for you.
