The Tax Agency has made available to companies and professionals the online application VeriFactu, the new system for issuing invoices that guarantees the integrity, conservation and traceability of tax data.
The VeriFactu model seeks to reinforce transparency and control in invoicing, allowing invoices to be sent to the AEAT at the time they are issued. Each invoice generated must include an identification code and a secure digital record that prevents its alteration.
The use of VeriFactu systems will be mandatory as of January 1, 2026, so companies must adapt their invoicing programs to comply with the established format and technical specifications.
We recommend starting the transition to the VeriFactu environment as soon as possible to ensure smooth compliance and avoid incidents when the obligation comes into force.
